Fiona Doyle; Fine Art: Paint

Fiona Doyle is a 4th year student, studying Fine Art in GMIT. Her speciality is paint, with interests in photography and graphics which she uses in her work. She is currently working on a collection of paintings to use in the CCAM upcoming show in May. Below is a statement by the artist accompanied by two photographs of some of her paintings. They are painted with acrylic, oil and watercolour onto raw canvas. For any further information Fiona can be contacted by the  email address below.

"My work involves de-constructing photographs I have taken and translating them into paintings. They contain a sense of space due to layers of juxtaposing images; exploring a relationship between reality and a created world."

“It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.” Henry David Thoreau
